On the golf course, kids learn a special kind of self confidence that they will carry with them throughout their life. In all of my years on and off the golf course, I cannot remember any incident when avid youth golfer and juvenile delinquent were ever synonymous. My experience teaches me that this is a sport that not only test their physical stamina, it challenges their mental tenacity as well. The lessons learned on a golf course have lifelong ramifications . . . kids not only learn self confidence, they learn perseverance, good sportsmanship, a sense of fairness and probably most importantly, they learn integrity.
